Methanol is toxic even in small quantities. The liquid primarily damages the nerves because the metabolic products formaldehyde and formic acid have a high neurotoxic (nerve-damaging) potential.
The optic nerve is particularly affected by methanol poisoning.
Even relatively little methanol can lead to blindness or death if left untreated.
The Spark M-20 is the world's first portable methanol detector. It was developed together with government institutions and renowned distilleries to ensure maximum user-friendliness and quality.
